Ho! Merry Christmas !

Whew ! Go winter ! Its simply best season of the year and the Christmas spirit is a bonus.Picking best presents,cooking massive feast,late night shopping,family gatherings,decorating your tree and house,hanging stars and what not…..Its just a flurry of activity .Amid the busy schedule , we are pretty happy that you made it to our blog .

For our very first post , to make your job easier we are here with some of the prettiest and easiest decor for the season.

Christmas is never complete without  that pretty tall tree, the tales of ornament hunts begins from long way back .Let go of all the worries !! Perhaps , this season we could help you out with our DIY Christmas ornament collection.

1.WOOLEN HAT ORNAMENThc

Let’s start! Get ready with all tools and supplies.

Things you need!

Yarn ball ( any color ),pair of scissors,cardboard piece,pencil,ruler and glue .

♦Cut out a 7 x 2 cm rectangle strip from the cardboard piece.

♦Roll it to form a circle of  approximate radius 1 cm and glue the ends.

♦Take your yarn ball,using a ruler measure off 28 cm long parts.We are using red and white yarn ball , you can use any color of your choice but make sure that the yarn is not thick and fluffy.

♦Fold the piece of yarn into half as shown in the picture.

♦Insert yarn into circular strip,keep the ends and a loop on the other sides of the strip.Reeve the ends of yarn into a loop and pull the tight to make a knot on the strip.

♦This is how your hat should look like after weaving.Now you are done with the most time consuming part .

♦Divide the ends into two equal parts and reeve them to the other side of strip.Pull the yarn and insert it evenly into the strip. Detangle the pulled out yarn with the help of a fork.

♦Take a piece of yarn and tie it around the thread.With scissors trim the end to get a pompom look.And your Christmas hat ornament is complete !!!

2.POPSICLE STICK SNOWFLAKE ORNAMENT

Popsicle stick,glitter(its better to use blue to get the complete look), ribbon(blue), paint(SHADE-Pearl White from Faber-Castell Ready to use acrylic colours range) ,  paint brush,glue.

♦Paint the popsicle stick .Arrange them radially as shown in the picture and glue them together at its center to get your snowflake pattern.

♦Take a piece of ribbon , stick both the ends  and glue it to the snowflake pattern as shown in the above figure.

♦Apply some glue evenly on the snowflake and sprinkle glitter to finish it off.

3.BURLAP REINDEER ORNAMENT

Things you need !

Burlap Fabric,Paint(SHADE-Burnt Sienna from Faber-Castell Ready to use acrylic colours range),Paint Brush , Pompom balls, Doll eyes,glue,popsicle stick and a pair of scissors.

♦Cut out a triangular shape from the burlap fabric.

♦Paint the popsicle stick and cut it to get the ears of the reindeer .

♦Stick the eyes,popsicle ears and the pompom ball will make the reindeer’s nose.

♦We have used a string to hang it ,you can use any alternative for it .Be creative !!

4.SANTA’s SLED ORNAMENT

Things you need!

Popsicle stick,Paint(SHADE- Crimson(204) from Fevicryl soft acrylic colours range ),Paint Brush, glue and a pair of scissors.

♦Paint the popsicle stick and let it dry .

♦Trim the curved edges of the popsicle stick to get 3 long pieces as shown in the above picture and also cut a smaller rectangular piece  of length 3.5 cm .

♦Arrange the pieces in the shape of a sled and glue it.Hang it with the help of a string.

5.RECYCLED GIFT BOX ORNAMENT.

Things you need!

Newspaper,match stick box,glue,red ribbon and string.

♦Wrap the match box with the newspaper and tie it with ribbon and hang it with help of a string.
